South Dakota legislature to outlaw free internet phone calls?

Dear Ken:

As your FREE teleconferencing service provider, we seek your help because you’ve conducted conferences with participants from South Dakota (area code 605). Please ask your colleagues in South Dakota to contact their state representative regarding legislation under consideration this week (House Bill 1097). If allowed to pass, this legislation could prohibit you from conducting legitimate business using not only InstantConference, but all free conferencing services.

A simple call or email from your South Dakota associates to their state legislative representative expressing their concern over this matter could make a huge difference. Time is of the essence and we ask that you act promptly!

Whether you or your participants are a small or large business, non-profit organization or church group, please don’t be afraid to let your representative know that the topics you discuss using our conferencing service are of critical importance to you. Let them know that by eliminating your ability to communicate with your associates using the InstantConference service, they are creating a hardship that is unfair, and completely unacceptable to you.

We appreciate you taking the time to consider this issue and for contacting your peers in South Dakota.
