TwitterSearch
While I find “Twuugle” a cute idea it’s nothing more than this:
Abuse My @name and Get Fired!
It happens. You look there in your @myname on Twitter and you see:
NAMEREMOVED @thekencook @nameremoved @nameremoved @nameremoved @nameremoved @nameremoved @nameremoved @nameremoved tnks 4da RT &FF u rok!
What may seem like an innocent attempt at getting me to follow back could actually be a little more sinister: the use of my name (and the names of others) to provide an unwitting “endorsement” of the tweeter. Publicly thanking me for a very limited support would give the impression to some of my endorsement especially if I had issued a #followfriday or retweeted something the user said.
This is a black-hat technique used to build followers and one which will get you blocked and reported to @spam almost without a second thought. Why? Because you are lying about me (and other users) in public. It really is no different that getting on the radio and saying, “Ken Cook comes to my restaurant and tells other people about it”, when nothing could be farther from the truth.

Manage Twitter DM Spam
Twitter just gets more and more filled with spam. We will eventually never win the spam battle … think about it. I use DM Whacker about once a month to filter and parse my Twitter DMs.
If you, like I, get tons of DM spam you will be very happy to know about DM Whacker. It’s simple to use just make sure you are on the DM page when you click the bookmark and go! I love this little program.
Enjoy!
