A Tweet Shortener with a Twist
Being limited to 140 characters is the whole idea behind Twitter. It needs to fit into text messages as well as the Twitter field. If you need to do something longer but not long enough to make an entire blog post you may enjoy using twitlonger (http://www.twitlonger.com/) for those tweets between a tweet and a post.
The developer, Stuart Gibson, says “it’s like TwitPic only for text”. He also encourages you to try and stay with the spirit of Twitter but also recognizes some things are important enough to stretch out to 200 characters or so. Give twitlonger a try and let me know how it works out for you!
